As a celebration of Earth Day this month, 40 + Evolver Spores will look at how nature's design solutions can be used to create a truly regenerative planetary culture.
-Mingling time!
-Meditation and an opening of sacred space
-Introduction to the Biomimicry/Biomechanics concept
-Screening of Living without Money Documentary, a fantastic film about the life of 68 year old Heidemarie Schwermer, a German woman who made a deliberate choice to stop using money 14 years ago. Watch the trailer here: http://livingwithoutmoney.org/
-Presentation on Bay Area's Community Exchange with Mira Luna. BACE is a collaborative network that supports the development of alternative means of exchange in the San Francisco Bay Area. http://timebank.sfbace.org/
-Presentation on Shareable.net with Milicent Johnson. Shareable by Design is a nonprofit online magazine that tells the story of sharing.
-Interactive workshop to discuss how we can learn from nature to find the best solutions to our social needs, along with an introduction to http://www.asknature.org/ a project of the Biomimicry Institute
-Demonstration of a gift circle
-Closing meditation inspiring connection to the earth on a meaningful level.
$5-$10 sliding scale admission fee, though no one will be turned away
