...ERIC DROOKER, a highly-revered and prolific radical artist, will be performing banjo sure to inspire revolution.

DJ MIGGY STARDUST will throw down some hot jams sure to make that booty bounce!
and more!!
This will be a BENEFIT FOR THE IRON RAIL BOOK COLLECTIVE, committed to anarchist, anti-authoritarian, feminist, anti-racist, queer-positive and class-conscious politics, and to providing alternative literature and information to the people of New Orleans since 2003. The Iron Rail is the Gulf Coast's only collectively owned and operated, all-volunteer, non-profit reading room, lending library, bookshop, and community space. It was unlawfully shut down just after Mardi Gras, as another super-unfortunate event in the string of excessive police repression against radical culture in New Orleans recently. All proceeds will help these folks find a new space and reopen to serve the South sooner rather than later!

The secret location will be announced shortly before the event & you will all enjoy the rooftop access with nice views of our city by the Bay!
And psst...there's a bit of a rumor that there will be free beer for the first hour of the party (to be confirmed). So please come out for a wiley good time, support the Iron Rail, and meet & mingle with comrades!
$5-20 sliding scale
Special surprise for those who donate $10 or more!

This sounds like a great event and great cause. But please come up with a different way to talk about the music without using the word "gypsy"
