RALLY FOR THE RIGHT TO KNOW!

DEMAND GMO LABELING!!!

There is more than a casual association between genetically modified foods & adverse health effects. There is causation as defined by Hill's Criteria in the areas of strength of association, consistency, specificity, biological gradient, and biological plausibility. The strength of association and consistency between GM foods and disease is confirmed in several animal studies. http://www.aaemonline.org/gmopost.html

The American Academy of Environmental Medicine (AAEM) recently stated that "Several animal studies indicate serious health risks associated with genetically modified food," including infertility, immune problems, accelerated aging, faulty insulin regulation, & changes in major organs & the gastrointestinal system. The AAEM advises consumers to avoid GM foods, but since the USDA & Monsanto co-own the patent for "terminator" seeds, you can bet no action will be taken.

80% of what Americans eat is genetically modified.

"Monsanto should not have to vouch for the safety of biotech food. Our interest is in selling as much of it as possible. Assuring its safety is the FDA's job." -Phil Angell, Monsanto's director of corporate communications, quoted in the New York Times, October 25, 1998

Many have written about the revolving door leadership policy between federal food agencies & Monsanto, but few seem to grasp the grave dangers such a good-ol'-boy network entails. The fact is, Monsanto has not produced a single “food” product that independent, non-corporate sponsored studies have found to be safe for prolonged human consumption. YOUR KIDS ARE LAB RATS

""Every suicide can be linked to Monsanto," "...the journalist Palagummi Sainath is certain the scale of the epidemic of rural suicides is underestimated & that it is getting worse. "Wave upon wave," he says, from his investigative trips in the Indian states of Andhra Pradesh & Maharashtra. "One farmer every 30 minutes in India now, & sometimes 3 in one family."
