The American Indian Resource Center Presents an Afternoon with: Adelina Alva Padilla
Spiritual Grandmother for the Santa Ynez, Chumash Tribe.
Tuesday, April 5, 12-1 PM
Adelina Alva Padilla is the spiritual leader and cultural advisor for the Santa Ynez Band of Chumash Indians. In particular, Adelina’s work focuses on abused women. On numerous occasions this her path has taken her to ceremony where she has shared her words and blessings throughout the world.
Along with the hundreds of blessings she has provided for religious and community functions across the world at the young age of 74 years old, she has managed to raise a family, is a mother of 7 children 26 grand children 46 great grand children and 1 great great grand child.
