Japanese Told How to Evacuate Radioactive Areas
NHK is showing frequent weather reports as many people are living without heat in freezing temperatures. The Japan Self-Defense Forces (Jieitai) in helicopters dumped water on the Daiichi reactors and radiation levels decreased but by very little, so they have just now ceased. A few hours ago NHK showed instruction on what to do in the event of potential radiation exposure, including "place a wet towel over your face", "pack a small bag of supplies including hand sanitizer", and "evacuate promptly as ordered". Reuters report below includes NHK and other statistics on deaths, buildings damaged, number of people evacuated to date, and number of people without electricity and water following the 9.0 earthquake and subsequent tsunami and nuclear reactor disaster.
