Breaking News: Major Aftershock Rocks Japan
Aftershocks raging from magnitudes 3 to 6 on the Japanese scale hit this evening at about 9pm (PST) off eastern coast of Japan, closer to Tokyo than last week's mega earthquake. NHK showed an aftershock of several minutes from atop their broadcast station at Mito, near Tokyo.

The Japanese measurement scale varies slightly from the US way of measuring but in general the numbers are close.
****CNN's commentator Jim Walsh, an MIT scientist, says that if the Japanese have truly withdrawn all workers from Daiichi and are abandoning all work on the site, this is very bad news***.
