Did you know that we're approaching the 6th anniversary of Hurricane Katrina? After more than half a decade marking this disaster, thousands remain homeless.
If you'd like to make a difference, please join One Brick and help rebuild desperately needed homes in St. Bernard Parish, Louisiana beginning May 7th through May 14, 2011.

August 29, 2011, will mark the 6th year of Hurricane Katrina. Despite this fact, thousands of people still reside in temporary housing and want nothing more than to "go back home."
YOU can make difference by donating just ONE WEEK of your time and helping to rebuild a home. Your efforts will literally bring a family home and they'll be forever grateful - GUARANTEED!
St. Bernard Parish remains one of the most devastated communities in the aftermath of hurricanes Katrina and Rita. Located to the southeast of New Orleans, St. Bernard suffered significant structural damage to 100% of its residential and commercial units, rendering them completely uninhabitable.
Volunteers from each of One Brick's nine chapters will be convening in St. Bernard Parish from May 7th-15th. We're inviting you to join volunteers from around the country on another trip to take part in this incredible volunteer effort to rebuild the Gulf Coast.
NOTE: We charge vounteers to attend this event. Please make sure you purchase a place on the eventbrite page. If you to not purchase a place then we will not be able to accommodate your request for participation.
The standard $200 fee includes lodging for the week, a welcome dinner on Sunday night, a CELEBRATORY "Thank You" dinner towards the end of the week. Further, food staples such as breakfast, lunch, coffee and bottled water will be stocked in the house.
IMPORTANT: This event ALWAYS sells out. We recommend you purchase your place as soon as possible. If you need to cancel we will try to resell your place for you.
Five years after the 2005 hurricanes, residents still feel a huge sense of abandonment. The lack of support from the local and federal governments exacerbated this sentiment. The future of St. Bernard Parish literally rests in the hands of volunteers like YOU. Since 2007, One Brick has remained a consistent in its mission of organizing volunteer missions to rebuild the Golf Coast.
