World Day of Solidarity with the University of Puerto Rico Event in San Francisco!

Students at the University of Puerto Rico (UPR) have been on strike since December over fee hikes, privatization and police violence on campus. Community groups, UPR alumni and concerned individuals in the Bay Area are organizing a public demonstration in support of UPR students as part of “A World Day of Solidarity with the University of Puerto Rico.” The event will feature live plena and bomba music, artistic performances, speakers, video screenings, poetry, literature and more.
