Speaker Al Rojas was a founding member of the United Farm Workers with Cesar Chavez. He will speak on the experience of organizing farm workers and will also detail the current issues surrounding the UFW and how the farm worker community is once again under attack by a new "Bracero Program" in the AgJOBS legislation.

His presentation will be preceded by a special showing of the documentary "Harvest of Loneliness", created by UC, Irvine professors Gilbert Gonzalez and Vivian Price. The documentary exposes the realities behind the failed Bracero guest worker program of the 1950's & '60's.
