Where: Fillmore Street from Sutter to McAllister comes alive with a neighborhood-wide party, with a processional parade, live jazz music in the streets, stilt walkers, jugglers and face painters’ Fillmore Street restaurants and clubs join the celebration with live music, along with free Mardi Gras beads and signature cocktails, wines and beers and nibbles. The celebration culminates with an annual Masquerade Ball.

When: Saturday, March 5th Noon-5pm: Family day with live band on Fillmore Center Plaza (1475 Fillmore) jugglers, kiddies Carnival (Fillmore Minnie Park), band processional along Fillmore Street 5pm -7pm: Movie screening – SF Black Film Festival presents: “, Feathers and Lies" at the Jazz Heritage Media Center (1330 Fillmore), followed by a reception and live music Sunday, March 6th 3:00 pm: St. John Coltrane Church Processional along Fillmore Street to the former Bop City club, now home to Marcus Book Store, (1712 Fillmore), followed by a reception & music. Monday, March 7th 7:00 - 11 pm: Pre- Masquerade jam session and ‘open mic’ at Rassalas Jazz Club. Fat Tuesday in the Fillmore™, March 8th 7 –11 pm: 5th Annual Mardi Gras Masquerade Ball (West Bay Conference Center, 1290 Fillmore) - live band, dinner, dancing, beverage, silent auction, $300 for best costume, DJ & more. Where: Fillmore Street from Sutter to McAllister comes alive with a neighborhood-wide party, with a processional parade, live jazz music in the streets, stilt walkers, jugglers and face painters’ Fillmore Street restaurants and clubs join the celebration with live music, along with free Mardi Gras beads and signature cocktails, wines and beers and nibbles.
