Annual National Marriage Counter Action

Join Marriage Equality USA, GetEqual, California Faith for Equality and others as we engage in the annual national marriage counter action! Join and support same-sex couples asking for marriage licenses to render visible the government's discriminatory law and to share our stories!

Join us on the steps of San Francisco City Hall at 11:00 AM on Valentine's Day, Monday, February 14, 2011 to hear from the East Bay Gay Men's Chorus and speakers and then join us at the marriage counter. This is one of many events being held across the nation to "Request Marriage". Join Us and Be Counted and help us Spread the Word!
In SF, there will be an optional sit in at the marriage counter. If you are interested in participating in the optional civil disobedience portion of the event, not just asking for the marriage license or supporting others doing this, but sitting down and risking arrest you must attend the Feb.1st Organizing Meeting or email ca-sanfrancisco [at] marriageequality.org to make other arrangements in advance.
