Closing reception for the 2nd showing of Tristan's photographs from Palestine, and photos and other art from inside popular uprisings in Oaxaca, El Salvador, Iraq and local struggles in the Bay Area.
Tristan Anderson is a local activist and photojournalist who was shot in the head by the Israeli military in 2009 at a protest against the apartheid wall in occupied Palestine. Tristan returned home in June 2010 after a long hospitalization and is happy to be sharing pieces of his life work with the community. Select photos and patches will be available for sale to help cover costs of retrofitting Tristan's home for wheelchair access.
The event is free, with light snacks provided.
