This workshop will focus on:
Pt 1) What can you do to fight discrimination in the workplace against individuals with disabilities?
Pt 2) What can you do to advocate for children with learning disabilities?

Space is Limited--Please RSVP to Julie [at] diversityworks.org to reserve your spot.
This workshop is geared towards workers, parents and community members who would like to learn the basics about disability discrimination in employment and the rights of learning disabled students in special education. We'll review case studies of disability discrimination at work, watch parts of a documentary "Misunderstood Minds," and explore action steps. Please join us.
This workshop is jointly presented by DiversityWorks Board Members Julie Chang (special education teacher in Alameda Unified School District) and Maureen McFadden (employment discrimination attorney in Oakland, California)
