Start planning for summer! Youth Empowered Action (YEA!) Camp is a fun and innovative social action-oriented summer camp for youth ages 12-17 who want to make a difference in the world. At YEA, campers choose an issue of importance to them (such as climate change, homophobia, or racism) and build the knowledge, skills, confidence, and community to impact that issue when they get home. After YEA, past campers have started school clubs, made a documentary music video, held fundraisers, organized call-ins to Congress, gotten better food in their school cafeteria, and more! At camp, we also make music and art, have dance parties, spend time outside, make like-minded new friends, and have a great time! Our unforgettable week-long camp is $925. (Early-bird special of $750 until 1/15/11. Some scholarships available.) For more info, check out our 5-minute video and our website at http://www.yeacamp.org for inspiring camper testimonials, details about our activities, and more.
