Journey to Justice: A Benefit for the Winnemem Wintu Tribe
Please join a benefit for the Winnemem Wintu Tribe, a traditional Northern California Tribe struggling to restore salmon along the McCloud River and to stop the expansion the Shasta Dam. The evening will feature film clips from the Sacred Land Film Project, a clip from the forthcoming documentary highlighting the Tribe’s efforts to restore salmon runs, and a discussion with Spiritual Leader Caleen Sisk-Franco. The event will be held at the David Brower Center in Berkeley, 2150 Allston Way. Tickets are $15-25 dollars at the door. Sponsored by the Winnemem Wintu Tribe, the Sacred Land Film Project, and the Environmental Justice Coalition for Water.
