The series continues with selections from Shout Out! Women of Color Respond to Violence. Readings that will be discussed include a social, political and economic analysis of the violence against Native American, South Asian, and Afghan women, and how these women organize for reforms. Copies of readings available at New Valencia Hall, see address below.
The meeting will also feature strategizing for the coming year including the Sisters Organized for Public Education (SOPE) grassroots campaign. Bring your ideas.
Come early for a hearty fundraising dinner, with vegetarian option, available at 6:15pm for a $7.50 donation. Work exchanges available.
The meeting will be held at New Valencia Hall, 625 Larkin St., Suite 202, San Francisco, CA 94109. Five blocks from the Civic Center BART station, and on the #19 and #31 Muni bus line.
