The number one story of the book - 2011 Project Censored: The Top 25 Censored Stories for 2009-2010 is Global Plans to Replace the Dollar. Run-away capitalism is destroying the world economically with unprecedented concentration and over accumulation of wealth among the elite class; and it is destroying the environment through the unsustainable, ever-increasing need for growth. A new non-corporate model of sustainable, democratic cooperation is needed to safeguard the future of humanity and the planet.

On Thursday, December 2, 2010, at 7 pm, at BFUU’s Fellowship Hall, 1924 Cedar (At Cedar and Bonita) in Berkeley, Director of Project Censored, Mickey Huff will be hosting an event entitled- The End of American Hegemony, Global Dominance, and the Collapse of the Dollar with Dr. Peter Phillips; president of the Media Freedom Foundation, former director of Project Censored, Professor of Sociology at Sonoma State University, expert on media censorship and global dominance issues, and Dr. Elaine Wellin; board member of the Media Freedom Foundation, contributor to Censored 2011, former Professor of Sociology, expert on the impact of global capitalism on the environment, along with Jamie Walton- American Monetary Institute conference co-organizer, advocate for the American Monetary Act.

Dr. Peter Phillips and Jamie Walton will also be guests on the weekly Community Currency Radio Show, Thursday, December 2, 2010, from 2 – 3 pm, Pacific Time discussing these issues with Carol Brouillet on the Progressive Radio Network.
