7:30 PM: A SACRED DUTY: Applying Jewish Values To Help Heal the World - (1 hour)
This documentary reminds us that it is our sacred duty to apply Jewish teachings to how we obtain food, use natural resources, protect animals and the environment. While reducing our impact on the planet, we may find moral, ethical and sustainable solutions, from Orthodox, Conservative, Reform and Reconstructionist points of view. Award winning cinematographer, Lionel Friedberg includes interviews with Rabbis, Israeli Environmentalists, Jewish Scientists and Activists, with sacred texts read by Theodore Bikel. Some scenes contain graphic content that will hopefully inspire a thought provoking discussion with Rabbi Paula Marcus, following the film.
Please print copies of your favorite vegan recipes to share with the group.
Free Event. Members and Non-Members Welcome.
