Wadh'l Halabi, a Marxist political economist specializing in world economy, has been going to China for the past ten years. He has lectured at social science research institutes and spoken with high-level Chinese leaders and advisors. His topics have included the impact of U.S. capitalism on China, lessons for China of the fall of the USSR, and the role of worker's democracy. Halabi will present the substance of these discussions and their impact in China. He will also discuss his efforts to better relations between Chinese and U.S. workers.
