CODEPINK MONTHLY GOLDEN GATE BRIDGE PEACE WALK

HONORING WAR RESISTERS......REMEMBERING GI SUICIDES
This month, as a follow up to Veteran's Day, we invite you to march
with us to honor all U.S. soldiers who have become war resisters.
During our walk, we will call out:
We honor soldiers who refuse to kill.
We honor soldiers who have the courage to resist illegal occupation.
We honor soldiers who say no to war.
We honor soldiers who work diligently for peace.
We honor soldiers who have the courage to go to jail for refusing to fight.
We honor soldiers who desert the military and sacrifice their security.
We honor soldiers who speak out against the terror of U.S. wars and occupations.
We honor Bradley Manning, a real American war hero.
We celebrate you, brave warriors, for your courage, for your conscience and for your leadership.
We wish you much success in spreading truth, light and love to the violent world that we live in.
This Sunday, we invite all of you to join us to honor war resisters.
We will have a public reading of the names of known war resisters.
On a more tragic side, in support of the new documentary, "War Torn, 1861-2010", that chronicles
the psychological damage on soldiers of U.S. wars over the decades, we will read the names of those
soldiers who have committed suicide over the recent years, because of the unbearable pain and memories
from their war experiences.
See last Wednesday's Democracy Now interview with the filmmakers:

If you can, please bring veteran stories, poems, etc, to share in a quiet gathering following the march,
to help us remember the sacrifice and cost of continued immoral occupations.
