The New Media Film Festival is proud to announce the official lineup of entertainment and industry panels for their San Francisco Bay Area event starting Friday, November 5, 2010. The two-day event will have something for everyone from SRC (Socially Responsible Content), Animation, Short Films, Documentary and Narrative Features, to original Web Series programming. Industry panelists include thought-leaders from the technology and entertainment industries. The two-day event is being held at the VizCinema on Post Street in San Francisco.
The New Media Film Festival was founded by Independent Filmmaker, Susan Johnston, with a charter to bring together Industry Professionals and Content Creators across Film, TV, Gaming, Publishing, Mobile, Web and Tech and share what’s new and what’s next during the event. This is the first time the New Media Film Festival, has opened up a new regional event. The executive board selected San Francisco as the venue to unite more technology developers with the pioneers in the creative community who are utilizing different technology platforms to tell their stories.
“In keeping with our goal to celebrate stories worth telling, adding a new market like San Francisco to cities where our Festival is held creates a broader spotlight for the creative community,” said Susan Johnston, founder of New Media Film Festival. “Sharing your story at a festival is exciting for any creative team, but bringing together the technology innovators and the creative talent who are breaking the traditional molds and blazing a trail in New Media is exhilarating.
The New Media Film Festival will be featuring executives from OnLive.com, Producers Guild of America, Writers Guild of America, LA Web Series Festival, Creative Convergence, SF Writing Conference, Free Range Studios, SF Women’s National Book Assn, Primetime Emmy Awards, Flingo.TV, Babelgum, The Nielsen Company, Current TV, DiGG, IndieGoGo, Tongal, MovieSet.com, Bay Area Women in Film and Media, Red Wheel/Weiser Books/Conari Press, Booyah!, Manic D Press, Mashable, Motorola, Magnicode, Sharethrough, Unity Technologies, and Credit the Edit. Judges of the festival come from PIXAR, Industrial Light & Magic, Summit Entertainment, Creative Convergence and United Talent Agency.
