Tim Proffitt's MySpace, etc.-Tea Party Brownshirt (Typical)
Head-stomper, woman-beater Tim Proffitt of Paris, Kentucky: All about a typical Tea Party Brownshirt. Get inside the life of the head-stomper and inside his own head. It's all about prejudices discredited in the US decades ago, and its revival in the recent Southernization of the USA.
Scenes such as Tim Proffitt stomping the head of a Move On activist while one or two other "men" held her on the pavement at a Rand Paul for US Senate event remind me of scenes from the long ago past.
Remember the old video scenes in which men of similar background (see Proffitt's MySpace page at http://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cache:mNva_9HR6GYJ:http://www.myspace.com/bb1f+proffitt+%22paris+kentucky%22+-police+-profit&cd=26&hl=en&ct=clnk&gl=us ) did the same in Birmingham, Selma, and similar acts in similar places? Only thing changed is the color of the victim, and it's as repugnant as ever.
And what does the record show about woman-beater Tim Proffitt? A total phony: Living off the system he and his idol, would-be Senator Foghorn Rand rant and whine about. From his Federal Election Commission records, he seems to be directly supported by his wife, and indirectly supported by the taxpayers (!) of Bourbon County Kentucky (she is a school-cafeteria worker).
Of course it is also possible that he is supported by the taxpayers through disability. That would be beyond ironic, it would be fantastic hypocricy. At any rate the pay must not be bad: The record shows that the unemployed Mr. Proffitt and his wife have donated $2500 to Rand Paul in recent years. (Also shows other interesting information about Mr. Proffitt, see at http://images.nictusa.com/cgi-bin/fecimg/?29020371457 ).
THE TEA PARTY MOVEMENT IS ABOUT THREE THINGS: SELF-DELUSION, DELUDING OTHERS, AND BEING DELUDED BY OTHERS. These people are deluded in thinking they are doing the work of a higher power and that they can finally make a difference in the world. They are self-pitying, self-righteous, and paranoid, deluded into thinking the system has held them back from their natural station and wealth in life, which of course should be much better than the lot of their fellows and neighbors.
Whom are they being deluded by? Billionaire oil tycoons like the Koch brothers of Kansas, the Daddy Warbuckses of the Tea Barty Bowel Movement, media barons like Pruneface Murdoch, the Aussie who would rule the USA through Big Lie propaganda that would make Hitler and Goebbels blush.
MORE ABOUT TIMMY
52 years old.
6 ft, 1 in.
Bald, heavy, and bespeckled (photo). Hasn't fared as well as his idol, obviously.
Has a daughter about same age as the young lady he bullied, beat, and violated.
No visible means of support.
A generous Rand Paul donor nonetheless.
The more you look, you have to admit: a total phony and a typical Tea Party Superpatriot.

That feiia must be a god fearing, patriotic, red blooded Kentucky republican ! God help any 98 lb. little girls that make him mad
I'm sorry but you lost the high ground by captioning that photo "hitler paul".
I couldn't agree more that Proffitt is a total douchebag, and will hopefully be charged to the fullest extent of the law. However, once you begin comparing someone to Hitler you've lost your way. Are Proffitt's actions, and Paul's apparent lack of real concern, not enough?
Really, really bad taste. It's a shame, really, because by making such ludicrous comparisons you're only hurting your own position, making it easier for people to dismiss everything else you might have to say.
Leave Hitler where he belongs: in the grave. Find another analogy.

There is a very persuasive anthropology book that explains that appalachia tends to have a distinct culture from the coastal south (Georgia, Virginia, Alabama etc). There is a lot of overlap and people may share certain values, but Kentucky shouldn't be considered southern.
Basically, people from different regions of england settled different parts of the eastern shore, and they had distinctly different religions and cultural bents - quakers, puritans, etc. The 'Cavaliers' went to the south from part of England where they had last names like Jackson, Brown, Washington etc that are reflected in the majority of african-americans today. A group of protestant scottish proletarians went to appalachia. Some contrasts would be that the southern society has more hierarchy and elevates an aristocratic class with 'high culture'. The appalachians supposedly brought the scottish clan culture over with some rivalries and feuds, and arts like irish fiddle and clogging.
Rather than a true mixing bowl, most later immigrants from europe (from germany, italy, france, ireland etc) fell into line with the original culture from england of the colonized area they settled, whether it was New England or the south etc. They might show one or two generations of their earlier culture before adopting the 'american' english culture of the new place.
Of course - what is Rand Paul? It seems like his father Ron Paul is a big Texan. I have to look up where Texas falls in this albion's seed rubric - probably a distinct offshoot of the south, or maybe a mixture of appalachia and southern plantation culture (definitely a lot of baptists). Texas strikes me as the equivalent of the state of Bavaria in germany, where they have a high level of tribal or regional pride (bavaria does stuff like not recognizing job credentials earned in other states etc. and enforcing some cultural rules, or even prohibiting property ownership of nonlocals).

I agree, the caption is over the top. I do see elements of fascism in the Tea Party and, esp., the way it has been funded, by corporate forces seeking to run the government for corporate purposes. Also, Proffitt and some other members of the TPP movement are behaving like Hitler's thugs in the runup to his chancellorship of Germany.
I also liked the cultural comments, esp., since I have eighteenth-century roots in TN, KY, and AL. There is much to like about Southern US culture and I think KY is our best food state. Also Texas can be very broadminded, witness the way a Texas jury favored Oprah over the local beef industry and certain residents of Pres. Bush's hometown aided Bush-protester Cindy Sheehan (one sold her land to protest on).
However, I am sick to death of motor "sports" (I used to attend), beauty queens, preachers calling Obama the Antichrist, country rock (debasement of the old music) and other things from our Southern region that seem to be becoming pervasive and ubiquitous. Now we have this phony political movement that seems to be concentrated in the region.
Solid South may have been good for FDR and the New Deal (long before my time), but not any longer.
For those who wanted to write in to excoriate me, too bad you couldn't do the captcha arithmetic.

Tim,thanks for the history lesson. I remember seeing scenes like that in 1930's Germany. You kind of look like a big fat Himmels.Maybe Herr Rand will make you in charge of the death camps, I look forward to you trying to goose step on my head. In the 1770's we dumped the tea in the river, I think we need to dump this tea "party" in the sewer. See you at the revolucion!!!!!!!
Sorry Tim got you Nazis mixed up. Can't blame me, you all smell and look alike. Himmler was in charge of the death camps. A job Herr Rand may appoint you to. See you at the REVOLUCION!!!
Ms Moss the cleaners called, your BROWNSHIRT is ready,Hiel Rand!
