The 1st Annual San Francisco Immigrant Film Festival will be screening works that explore a wide array of issues facing the global immigrant community. These works showcase the lives of immigrants, exiles, and their pursuit of equality and social justice.

‘Partenze‘ (Departures) , 5’, Antonello Novellino, DV, Italy 2010, Narrative Short, USA Premier. It shows the journey of three immigrants in Italy.
Three Sad Tigers‘, 11’, David Muñoz, HD, Spain 2010, Doc, World Premier. About 3 million Bangladeshis live in the Middle East. Labor abuses, dishonored contracts and forced returns has generated tens of thousands of broken families. See the stories of three sad men.
‘Which Way Home‘, 1‘,23”, Rebecca Cammisa, USA 2009, Doc, Oscar-nominated 2009. Central American children making the journey to the United States must firs cross the Guatemala-Mexico border. Although Mexican companies prohibit riders on freight trains, thousands board them any way, making the rule impossible to enforce.
