The perfectly inhabitable, quite nice and spacious Hotel Leslie at Larkin & Eddy sat unoccupied for two years, until it was creatively liberated by a group of people -- including families -- who decided to fill it with life again for a brief time.

Hundreds of carpeted rooms with full bathrooms sit empty, a blatant insult to the thousands without places to sleep at night.

However, upon being reminded that they had no jurisdiction to keep people trapped inside, they allowed folks to leave through the front door. What they DIDN'T know was that there was a side door we could have left from the entire time; we just wanted to make their lives a little more difficult.
