WORLD HOMELESS DAY 10.10.10 CREATIVE HOUSING LIBERATION
- Rally, March & Open Occupation!
Gather for a brief rally at SF Civic Center in front of the Buddha Sculpture promptly at 4pm before marching to the open housing occupation.
4p Rally at SF Civic Center (Buddha Sculpture)
4:30p Take to the Streets
5-6p Open Occupation Housing Tours
5-7p Community Assembly on Homelessness
5:30p Free Dinner w/ SF Food Not Bombs
7p- Open House Party / Sidewalk Party
We all know homelessness and poverty are caused by greed, capitalism, and racism, and that just like the rest of the world, San Francisco's politicians serve the needs of the rich. Why else would they let 15,000 homeless San Franciscans sleep and die in the streets and inhumane shelters while 30,000 housing units sit vacant?
Please join us for a housing takeover, as we act in solidarity with cities throughout the U.S. and over 50 countries across the globe, to honor the first annual World Homeless Day.
Housing is a human right! No more homeless deaths!
Vacant housing is a crime! No more bullshit excuses!
It's time to organize and fight back!
If you don't fight, who will?
