Women Rising: A Night of Creative Empowerment
What is the F word your mom is not afraid to say? Feminism!
But for this event, pant suits are optional!
The walls of The Garden will blossom with the fruits of women’s creativity, featuringart work from over twenty local artists.
The halls of The Garden will ring with slam poetry and music from the lovely ladies of the Bay.
The night will open with a panel discussion entitled “Pushing Forward.” Find out what a lawyer, a dj, a pro BMX racer, and a filmmaker/engineer have to say about feminism today. 7-8pm
Enjoy a healthy batch of intellectual discourse sprinkled with a dash of silliness and a whole lot of fun. Don’t miss the Princess of Power Pillow Fight DJ Dance Party to end the night in a heap. Delight in locally made tasty vegan food, and equally tasty crafts! Special note to our masculine counterparts: no need to slip through the back window wearing a wig and a poorly fitted dress. Everyone is welcome!
