This is a KPFA local station board elections candidate community forum to discuss the role of independent media within the labor and social justice movement.
Come and join the KPFA community of activists and help engage the candidates in a stimulating debate on the vision of KPFA. This is your opportunity to let the future board members of KPFA know what you want in your community radio station.
The local station board is the governing body of the organization in charge of setting policies that would guide the station's mission in the community.
Refreshments will be served!

If you're a KPFA Member or staffer* PLEASE turnout tonight, hear the candidates , ask them HARD questions and then compare and contrast before you decide which slate to support .
It drives me crazy when otherwise serious activists vote for or even publicly endorse a slate just because someone that they worked with in this or that union, antiwar campaign, Anti-Poiice violence effort etc. said so !
With all due respect for your old comrades that doesn't have shit to do with how this or that slate would be if elected. Find out where they stand on KPFA/PACIFICA issues before you cast your ballot or lend your good name to a endorsement list .
* I know Staff can only vote for Staff candidates . But i hope they will show if for no other reason to hear for themselves if any candidates are actually '' Anti-Staff ''
