U.S. Social Forum in Marin
Detroit Report Back
The US Social Forum (USSF) held in June in Detroit brought together 15,000 activists from around the nation. MPJC wants to continue that movement building process here in Marin by bringing together and hearing from people who attended. The USSF provided spaces to learn from each other's experiences and struggles, share analyses of problems our communities face, build relationships, and align with our international brothers and sisters to strategize how to reclaim our world. The USSF was a huge step in building the multi-racial, multi-sectoral, inter-generational, diverse, inclusive, international movement that is transforming this country and changing history.
Here in Marin, as in Detroit, we must declare what we want our world to look like and plan the paths to get there.
