Water Film Series: Whose Water Is It and How Much Is There? The Social Justice Committee of the Unitarian Universalist Church of Fresno and the Valley Water Consortium are sponsoring a six-part film series to help us understand the global water crisis and how we can best respond to it. Screenings will take place in the sanctuary each Wednesday evening until August 11 at the Unitarian Universalist Church, 2672 E. Alluvial Avenue, Clovis, CA 93611 (between Willow and Chestnut.) The third film in the six-part series is Cadillac Desert (How LA stole the Owens River.) Unlike the movie, Chinatown, this documentary shows the real story of what happened during the land and water disputes that took place in southern California as a result of unparalleled growth and corresponding water needs. Admission is FREE. Wheelchair accessible. For more information call 559-434-8046 or 559-313-7674.
