Mehserle Verdict Rally Santa Cruz
On July 9th people in Santa Cruz gathered at the corner of Pacific Ave and Cooper Street to show solidarity for the protesters in Oakland and express their frustration with the Mehserle verdict.
The protest in Santa Cruz was peaceful and attracted tourists, locals, and, of course, the police! This rally is officially called "Rally Against Injustice & Unchecked Police Aggression & Murder."
FYI: The protesters were not kicking anyone off any corners or sidewalks, and tourists and locals seem to hyper sensitive when it comes to standing around on street corners or on sidewalks.
