400 years without A Comb Exhibit

Sacramento, CA – African New Year's Day 6,250 at the California State Capitol will mark the unbroken celebration of the sacred science of classical African civilization.

We showcase an exhibit of 400 Years without A Comb: Celebrating four centuries of Black Beauty (1500-2000) that highlights today's the unique challenges and opportunities utilizing natural Black Agriculture products in a global marketplace.

This historical exhibition will highlight public health conversations and California African Trade and Commerce challenges unique to people of African Ancestry beginning at 11:30 a.m. on the West Steps of the State Capitol, located at Capitol Mall Drive and 10th Street, Downtown Sacramento.

"Hair and history are intertwined for African Americans like they are for no other people," said Willie Morrow, exhibition curator and founder. 400 hundred years of African American beauty come to life in this historical exhibition.

As a scientist and innovator, Dr. Morrow has written more than 20 books on the subject of African American beauty and is well known worldwide for the commercialization of the first afro-pic comb, the blow-dry nozzle and the "curl." Dr. Morrow is the president of California Curl in San Diego, California.

At the heart of the exhibition is the Morrow family's important "400 Years Without a Comb" book and documentary. It was written by Dr. Willie L. Morrow over thirty years ago.

The Morrow collection brings to life the social, cultural and spiritual aspect of African American beauty. The collection also features a display of plantation beauty practices, barbering tools, black hair treatments and one-of-a-kind artifacts documenting the historical evolution of Black hair care in America.

Dr. Annette Shelton, Hand to Hand Marketing Black Expo, "Make a Green Choice" Expo Director and Special Projects Manager will curate our African New Year's Day exhibit. Her wealth of experience and knowledge bridges the past, present and future of Black Hair Care.

African New Year's Day showcases the sacred science of the Black Agriculture women of Ancient Africa. The sun reaches the Tropic of Cancer at the Great Pyramid of Africa. The construction of the Giza Complex is the geographical center of the earth's land mass and mirror's the heavenly star that our sun revolves around every 25,920 years.

Today, we announce the new website Black Agriculture.com, a tool to help establish a nationwide Black Agriculture Action Agenda, beginning at the Black Agriculture Summit, July 15-18 as part of the Hand to Hand Marketing Black Expo, Marriott Hotel Oakland City Center.

The airport and waterport of Oakland, California are national treasures that will continue to facilitate trade and commerce between California and the 54 nations of the African Union. 17 African nations celebrate 50 year's of independence during this special Golden Jubilee Year. Expansion of mutually beneficial job creation, career development and sustainable communities utilizing appropriate technology exchange through extended family business relationships.

400 Years Without a Comb documents challenges and opportunities associated with African New Year's Day that highlights the unique legacy of the hair of Black women, especially those who choose to embrace "green" hair care products that accent natural beauty.

Later, African New Year's Day a lively "Congo Square" community celebration at 5:30 p.m, West Steps the California State Capitol, will featuring spoken word, music, dancing and the African drum.
