Bernal Youth Theater is holding auditions for its July 10 performance of "Dogs and coyotes, baseballs and rabbits." Six kids: four boys, two girls, ages 10-13. Auditions are Thursday, June 24, 4-8 pm; call to arrange a 15 minute audition slot. Kids from across San Francisco are encouraged to audition.

Rehearsals run two hours, 9-11 am, Monday through Friday, June 28-July 9. Performance at the Bernal Heights Community Center, 515 Cortland Avenue on Saturday, July 10. Auditions and rehearsals at Studio 189 in Bernal Heights, 189 Ellsworth.

"Dogs and coyotes, baseballs and rabbits" is a twenty-five minute play of historical fiction, set in 1914 in San Francisco. A young boy and his friends resort to fun and games and adult tactics to preserve their homes and gardens from ruin when a wealthy politician wants to displace the boys' families to benefit his friends.
