Oakland's recently passed "gang injunction" against the so-called "North Side Oakland gang" deepens the criminalization of the African community in Oakland, who already face poverty, police violence and a policy of police containment.
We believe that the problems in Oakland need to be addressed through economic development and social justice to address the root causes of crime and that the criminal city government has a track record of murder and violence against the African and Mexican communities.
Come out to get organized to challenge this injunction and to organize in solidarity with the struggle for self-determination and justice for the African community.
We will discuss the membership campaign of the Uhuru Solidarity Movement and the work of Uhuru Foods at the San Francisco Pride Festival on June 26-27th.
Join the Uhuru Solidarity Movement on the side of African resistance and liberation from Oakland to Sierra Leone, a sustainable world and an end to the counterinsurgency war against the black community right here in the U.S.
