March in the Parade with us!
Last year MPJC won first prize for its procession of origami peace cranes with the names of those who have been killed in Iraq and Afghanistan.
This year we plan to double the number. We need your help to carry them.
Our banners this year:
· IN MEMORY OF ALL VICTIMS OF WAR, CHOOSE PEACE
· END THE OCCUPATION OF IRAQ, AFGHANISTAN & PALESTINE
· SALAAM, SHOLOM, PEACE THRU EQUAL JUSTICE
· BRING ALL THE TROOPS HOME NOW
· PEACE FOR A GREEN WORLD
THE THEME OF THE WHOLE PARADE IS "DOING OUR PART"
Gather at 9: 45 am around the Old Mill School Yard, as in the past off Throckmorton at the corner of Lovell and Elma Sts. Step-off: 10:30. The march again will go down Throckmorton and Miller to greet the Seniors for Peace at the Redwoods Retirement Center. Distance: two miles. Bring water, hats and comfortable shoes.
For more information call 388-6488.
