Solidarity Caravan to Arizona
An Injury to One is an Injury to All of Us!
The Bay Area is going to Arizona to the mass mobilization in support of labor and community's efforts against anti-immigrants bill SB 1070--the law that will promote the use of police to racially profile and target immigrants.
Folks in Arizona have asked everyone to come to Arizona on Saturday, May 29. They have been organizing marches, rallies, and civil disobedience since the bill was signed by Arizona Governor Jan Brewer last month. The state has now also authorized a bill that will eliminate Ethnic Studies from its public education curriculum.
Join the Caravan this. We'll have a press conference focusing on the Freedom Ride to AZ and the weekend protests to boycott the Arizona Diamondbacks who are playing the SF Giants.
NEED A RIDE? OFFERING A RIDE?
Space will be limited in the buses and vans. So please e-mail Ramsés at RebBoySF [at] yahoo.com This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it if you are willing to offer a ride OR need a ride. We are creating a list of rides offered and people who want to go and need a ride. We will try our best to accomodate. The best you can do is recruit people who are willing to rent a car, a van, or share their car.
