This event will protest police violence in all of its forms, push us to ask who and what the police really protect, and mourn the death of Aiyana Jones. Aiyana Jones, a 7-year-old girl, was shot and killed by a Detroit police officer Sunday, May 16, 2010, during a raid on the house she and her grandmother lived in. Insanely, the raid was being filmed for American's viewing pleasure by a reality TV show. The film shows that cops through a flash grenade in through Jones' window and then came in shooting. The suspect they were looking for was in the apartment upstairs. This is routine police behavior and thus we do not only ask for punishment of these particular police officers but of an end to policing as we know it.

It's time to get loud
Silence and "passive-fism" never accomplished anything. There is no progress without struggle (whatever form that may be).
This is outrageous. Something need to be done.
We are 100% volunteer and depend on your participation to sustain our efforts!
