I was involved with the March 4th student protests and I wanted to spread
the word that there are a couple of court dates coming up. A few people
have been singled out with extra charges so they have different court
dates, and I think it's extremely important to have other people involved
aware of these dates so we can show some serious court solidarity, and
make sure it is known that it is NOT okay to make legal "examples" of our
friends/co-protesters.
There is a court date on May 26th at 9 AM and should take place in Dept.
115. A pre-trial will be on May 28th, 9 AM in Dept. 104. Both are at Wiley
Manuel Courthouse at 7th & Washington Street in downtown Oakland.
As early as these already are, it would be good for anyone wanting to show
support to try to get to the courthouse around 8:30 AM.
