prideatworksf — May 10, 2010 — A flashmob infiltrates the Westin St. Francis hotel in San Francisco and performs an adaptation of Lady Gaga's song "Bad Romance." The event was organized to draw attention to a boycott called by the workers of the hotel who are fighting to win a fair contract and affordable healthcare. Lesbian Gay Bisexual Transgender Queer activists put the song and dance together as a creative way to tell the hundreds of thousands of LGBTQ people from all over the country coming to San Francsico in June for Pride to stay out of the boycotted hotels.

by ...Don't Stay in a BAD hotel!
Over 9,000 San Francisco hotel workers have been working without a contract since mid-August 2009 despite repeated attempts at negotiations.
by What audience ?
At $150 to $250 a night there's no chance that out of down friends of mine would be staying at any '' bad hotels '' like the St. Francis .
If i can't squeeze them in they will be staying at a Motel six in Oakland .(BTW Shouldn't the Hotel union try to organize the less expensive hotels as well as the high costs ones ? )
Which brings me to the question Who is the audience for these boycotts ? Lets face it: Aside from the occasional progressive dentist from Cleveland who's dad was a Teamster how many ''guests '' that can afford $1500 a week rooms are sympathatic to the Labor movement ?
Just wondering .
