A fun/laidback participatory class about the world of jazz as you may not know it through an emphasis on its rich history, and the links of which we explore today through the medium of the experimental/fundamental paths of a rich diaspora. Will include concert films, docs, and of course, lots of jazz. A special interest will be given to artists who might not be considered jazz musicians (i.e. Bjork, Dirty Projectors, etc.)
1438 10th St.at Center, Oakland
2nd and 4th Sundays 11-1p
