Kairos Theater Ensemble dramatizes the fight by Bayview Hunters Point and Kettleman City against environmental pollution and toxics. A fundraiser for Greenaction for Health and Environmental Justice.
At The Women’s Building, 3543 18th St. Admission sliding scale, $10-50. Info: 415-248-5010 ext. 102
2 pm: Enjoy local foods for lunch, beverages, and a donation bar.
Hear from Kettleman City and Bayview Hunters Point youth environmental justice activists.
3 pm: "Birthing the Truth: Mothers and Youth Speak Out about Environmental Toxins" Special performance by the Kairos Theater Ensemble, presenting Playback Theatre, an interactive theater that reenacts community stories using sound, spoken word, and movement. In this performance, the Kairos Theater Ensemble will showcase the stories of activist mothers and youth from Kettleman City and BVHP. Proceeds will benefit Greenaction's youth leadership programs.
