If you are under the impression that you must travel to the far reaches of the wilderness in order to find a variety of edible, medicinal, and other such useful plants...think again. Come discover the rich diversity of native and non-native plants growing in and around the San Francisco Bay Area. Through classroom lectures/slideshows, botanical field outings to nearby parks, hands-on workshops, and visits to local botanical and urban gardens, we will explore the vast potential of our local flora in a way that ensures a more holistic understanding of the art and science of herbal medicine.
