John Laird on the June ballot measures

On Tuesday May 18, 2010, at the WILPF program, our former Assemblyman John Laird will help us sort out the five statewide ballot measures that will be decided at the June 8, 2010 election - including three controversial ones on open primaries, fair elections, and limiting localities in providing their own electricity. We will also learn about some of the possible 80 initiative measures currently in circulation for the November 2010 election.

This is not an endorsement meeting, but an opportunity to get more informed on the choices to made at the ballot box. So bring your sample ballot and election pamphlets with you to help in following the lively discussion of important voter decisions.

The meeting will be held as usual at the Friends' Meeting House, 225 Rooney St., in Santa Cruz, starting at 7p.m.
