Tea Party protesters were filming and taking photos of the small, clearly out-numbered group of counter-protesters who were at the time only standing in a cluster. One woman went to get a police officer, stating to a counter-protester that smoking in Union Square was illegal. The officer approached the group, but did not take any action. (Author is unaware of the legality or otherwise of smoking outside in Union Square...)
