The first night of May Day, a 3 day performance benefit at CounterPULSE, Friday's Agitprop Cabaret welcomes overtly political performers, from edgy HBO comedian W. Kamau Bell to porn star legend Annie Sprinkle. "CounterPULSE has always pushed the envelope in terms of combining art with real issues. The Agitprop Cabaret embraces this tradition of free speech-- the artists are addressing what what matters to them, whether it's racial politics or eco-sexuality." Featured artists include Anna Conda, Anne Bluethenthal, Jose Navarrete, Killing My Lobster, Kirk Read, Mangos with Chili, Annie Sprinkle and Elizabeth Stephens, SF Mime Troupe, Shaping San Francisco, and W. Kamau Bell.
