Did you all see that this week, the rhetoric at Fox News has suddenly shifted to the message that Tea Party participants are often crazy and conspiratorial. They have repeated this during multiple shows in various contexts. http://mediamatters.org/blog/201004120025

It stands in strong contrast to the theme they had shifted to several months ago, where they took control and credit for the tea parties. Glenn Beck in particular started his 9-12 project a few months ago, and started drawing these crazy flow charts involving Bruce springsteen, marxists, mao, and welfare bums.

It really bothered many of the populists that neocon Beck was taking credit. I think someone met with Fox and reminded them an election is coming up.

From these pictures, this contrived gathering, electioneering for their favorite fascist, consists of the usual white middle class, small business idiots that constitute most of the 65% of the population that is white, non-Hispanic in the USA. It is very familiar to those of us who can remember when there was no abortion, no gay rights movement, no acceptance of civil rights for non-whites, and widespread promotion of anti-communism in the name of the mythical, reactionary "Western civilization." This trash prevails where labor is weak, and labor is very weak all across the USA. As soon as any labor contract expires, there should be a strike. The whole concept of concessions is anti-labor. Wake up America! How about fighting for labor, education, socialized medicine, abolishing the military and the death penalty, housing for all, and everything else the workingclass needs!

Tea Party members are planning to stage a protest in Sacramento at the state capitol as well. No counter demo's organized but maybe something impromptu can be put together.
