Eating & Wellness: A Practice for Wholeness Workshop

Care of the Body from the Inside Out for Activists and Allies of Change

Wednesdays: April 7, 14, 21 | 7pm - 9pm

We've all heard it before: "you are what you eat." But that doesn't exactly help us understand how the way we eat impacts our energy, clarity and effectiveness...and what viable options there are. As activists and allies of change, every aspect of our wellness matters.

Learn how your choices for eating can be nourishing rather than depleting; leading away from wearing down and burning out, towards feeling vibrant, energized and alive.

Register Online: http://bit.ly/cxc-eatingwellness Sliding Scale: $60 - $100. No one turned away for lack of funds. For more information on payment or other questions call (510) 549-3733 ext 0.

The workshop is offered by Rev. angel Kyodo williams, Mahamitra
is a maverick spiritual teacher, advisor and friend to many. As founder of urbanPEACE, Center for Transformative Change (CXC) and designer of the fearless Practices: Meditation, Yoga and Learning, williams sees Transformative Social Change: applying inner awareness practice to broad‐based social change, as America's next great movement. angel envisions the building of a presence‐centered social justice movement as the foundation for personal freedom, a just society and the healing of divisions of race, class, faith and politic. She notes, "Without inner change, there can be no outer change. Without collective change, no change matters."

she truly believes that until every practitioner of social justice engages in inner awareness practices as a means of being in direct relationship with their inner lives and the people around them, a sustainable social justice movement is not possible. she developed the fearless Practices to meet what she predicts will be a paradigm shift in the way social change is done and is committed to bringing that vision to fruition.

angel's work engages at the root, field and resource levels of social transformation.
