2010 has been an inventive and industrious year for Fillmore District emcee DaVinci thus far. The young rapper leaked various pre-album cuts, dropped a widely-acclaimed video for "What You Finna Do," and recently released his full-length album The Day The Turf Stood Still, available now for free download and purchase via SWTBRDS Creative Collective. Fans in his native Bay Area now have a chance to catch DaVinci spit his salient stories about gentrification and urban renewal in person at two separate events.

One of the events that are happening is this Friday, March 26th at 9:30PM. The Listening Lounge presents the event New World Color. Playing at 111 Minna Gallery (111 Minna Street), DaVinci will be performing alongside New World Color Artists, Blu & Mainframe. It'll be featuring special guest beats by Freddie Joachim and Boogie Brown. DaVinci won't be the only San Francisco native to be performing there because Cedication.Crimes, Xariusound and Ronostalgia will be having their own set also. Celebrating a birthday, Getlivero is the special host of the show and it'll be sure to be a huge birthday bash. If that's not enough incentive to go then if you RSVP before 10:30PM, tickets are only $5 too.
