Reparations and Liberation for Colonized People!
African Resources in African Hands! End Obama's Imperialist Wars!

San Francisco, CA, March, 2010 — From March 20th - 27, 2010, Uhuru Solidarity Movement (USM) is sponsoring a Week of Action to Stop U.S. Colonial Wars Here and Abroad in the San Francisco Bay Area. Omali Yeshitela - international leader of the Uhuru movement and of the Black is Back Coalition - kicks off the week of events by speaking at the March 20th anti war mobilization at the Civic Center in San Francisco. USM is encouraging all progressive people to join its contingent marching under the banner of "Victory to African and Oppressed Peoples Everywhere.”

Omali Yeshitela states, "The election of Barack Obama as U.S. president has not ended the suffering of African people in the U.S. or injustices around the world. We stand in solidarity with the people of Afghanistan, Pakistan and Iraq, the Mexican people, the indigenous people of the U. S., the people of Cuba and Venezuela and Bolivia and the people of Haiti, who are facing ongoing U.S. occupation following the earthquake. We recognize their struggles, like our own, are simply efforts to reverse the verdict of imperialism that requires the vast majority of the world’s peoples to live in perpetual misery and poverty for its success."

USM is building the Africa’s Resources in African Hands Solidarity Action Network - an initiative to create material solidarity for the African liberation struggle. Penny Hess, African People's Solidarity Movement leader, “From Europe's initial assault on Africa and the genocidal trade in African people, to the sub-prime mortgage theft of African homes and the prison industry built on the mass incarceration of African people, US imperialism is founded on stolen African land, labor and resources. A future of peace and justice for all people can only be a result of reparations - the return of all that has been stolen from colonized people for centuries.”
The Uhuru Solidarity Movement is calling on people to march and come out to events to learn about the growing movement for African liberation and justice and how you can participate in changing the world and building solidarity with programs for genuine economic development and self-determination for African people.
