Karl Beitel, an author and researcher based in San Francisco, will detail class aspects of the current world economic downturn. Karl’s writing on financial markets, global political economy, and urban politics and housing markets has appeared in Historical Materialism, Monthly Review, Urban Affairs Review, Environment and Planning A, and Counterpunch (online). A group discussion will end Beitel’s talk. As always, our lectures are free and open to the public.
