IRSN: San Francisco St. Patrick's Day Parade
The International Republican Socialist Network comrades in the San Francisco Bay Area have received the assembly information for this year's St. Patrick's Day Parade in San Francisco. It is:
Date: Saturday, March 13th
Time: 11:00 AM assembly
Assembly
Point: 2nd Street, between Folsom and Harrison Streets, San Francisco
Invitees: Irish republicans, republican socialists, communists, anarchists, socialists,
syndicalists, and anti-imperialists
Mobile unit: Dedicated to the 90th anniversary of the Limerick Soviet
Anti-Imperialist
Contingent: Opposition to the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan and general opposition
to imperialism throughout the world.
After party: The IRSN will host its traditional after parade party for all of those marching
with the IRSN or in the anti-imperialist contingent, featuring traditional Irish
Margaritas and nachos and quite possibly a dram of Jameson's for those so
inclined, not to mention soft drinks for those who have given up alcohol for Lent
(That's a joke, comrades.) Details provided at the parade.
IRSN Comade Peter Urban, who just returned from meetings with members of
the leadership of the Irish Republican Socialist Movement will provide an update
on recent developments with the IRSM and their plans for the future at the after
parade party.
Participants are welcome to bring identifying banners and placards and the IRSN will have some banners and placards for those needing them.
We remind anti-war activists that this is the last Saturday before the major mobilization on March 20th and provides an excellent opportunity to recruit participants for that demonstration.
